My Story…
My mother is a breast cancer survivor. My grandmother survived breast cancer. I currently have a young family member who has been diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer, and a friend from law school is also battling this dreadful disease. I have already lost dear friends to this, and I feel way too young for that. Help and support are so necessary to help our loved ones survived and your donation helps with that. This is the FIRST walk I have committed to in more than 20 years because it matters to me.
Description
Help me continue to raise funds to support those battling cancer in the Wiregrass. Since 2008, the Champions of Hope event brought cutting edge cancer treatments and programs into our community. Your efforts really do make an impact in the lives of those fighting cancer, and 100% of the donations stay right here at HOME.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, the Southeast Health Foundation has been able to fund:
- Cancer Navigation Services
- 3D Mammography
- PET/CT Scanner
- Chemotherapy suites
- Transportation services
- Customized information reference binders for newly diagnosed patients
- Post-mastectomy comfort kits
