La Marche Maple Leaf March

Canadian Distance Walking/Marching Event

La Marche Maple Leaf March® is a world-class, non-competitive, not-for-profit international walking festival held annually in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

Its mission is to promote walking as a fitness activity; foster international understanding and friendships; and showcase some of the monuments, memorials, and parks of Canada's National Capital Region (NCR).

La Marche Maple Leaf March® has undertaken the necessary steps to be recognized as an official event of both the IML Walking Association (IML) and the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV). This designation will enable the Maple Leaf March to attract walkers to the NCR from across Canada and around the world.


La Marche Maple Leaf March® est un festival de marche international de classe mondiale, non compétitif et sans but lucratif qui se tient chaque année dans la région d'Ottawa-Gatineau.

Sa mission est de promouvoir la marche en tant qu'activité physique, de favoriser la compréhension et les amitiés internationales et de mettre en valeur certains monuments mémoriaux et parcs de la région de la capitale nationale (RCN) du Canada.

La Marche Maple Leaf March® a entrepris les démarches nécessaires pour être reconnue comme un événement officiel de l'Association internationale de marche (IML) et de la Fédération internationale du sport populaire (IVV). Cette désignation lui permettra d'élargir son rayonnement et d'attirer chaque année dans la RCN des marcheurs de tout le Canada et du monde entier.

Includes your choice of 5 or 10km Icebreaker on Friday, Half or Full on Saturday, and Half on Sunday. The Saturday and Sunday Events are mandatory to meet IML awards.
