My Story…
Hi there, and welcome to my race page! My name is Michelle, and I started running for the first time in my life last summer when an email went out saying that the Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England was still looking for charity team runners for it's largest annual fundraising event, the Falmouth Road Race. As the mom to a sweet and spunky almost 9 year old girlie who was born with Spina Bifida, whose family has benefitted so much from all SPAGNE has to offer, I felt like I just couldn't say no to helping out!!! I had a wonderful time training, fundraising and eventually running in the 50th Falmouth Road Race last August alongside 2 great friends (Kelly and Jackie) and a cousin (Kate) who were sweet enough to join me!! It was our pleasure to help fundraise for such an excellent organization, and I am thrilled to rejoin the SPAGNE charity team again in the 51st Falmouth Road Race!
This year, I have another 3 (!!!) great friends (Lindsey, Sarah and Meghan) who have also decided to join the SPAGNE charity team!! To make things a bit easier for our fundraising efforts, I have created us a little "sub-team" combined donation page here - where all our funds raised can be pooled into one pot. Individually, we have to raise $850 each. Together, our total fundraising goal is $3400.
On behalf of Lindsey, Sarah, Meghan and myself, we would love your help to reach our donation goal! Your gift of any amount is appreciated not only by SPAGNE, but also by families like mine who use SPAGNE as an educational resource, a platform for advocacy, and a vital link to others in our community. Thank you so much for your consideration!!!
Let the miles begin! ;)
