My Story…
I'm running the Falmouth Road Race again this year on Sunday, August 20th in honor and remembrance of William Shaw whose life inspired a legacy known now as William's Be Yourself Challenge (WBYC). William died four years ago, when he was 9, in a tragic skiing accident. In his last year of life, he was consciously trying to live by the motto "Be Yourself." This bold intention, which underlies all things WBYC, continues to inspire his family, friends and many others to live authentically. WBYC shows all people, but especially kids, that they can do hard things, build resilience, and bravely face mental health challenges, adversity, and loss with the support of a connected and caring community. For more information on WBYC and its impact on children's mental health through community events, movement, and grief awareness, please check out the website: https://www.williamsbeyourselfchallenge.org/
Please consider a donation in any amount to support WBYC. Thanks!
