Why I Am Running for Cure SMA
As I approach my 6th year running Falmouth for Cure SMA I am continuously humbled by the support of my community. As many of you know, my youngest, Kate lives her life with SMA. She has the most severe form but her future is bright because not only has she had access to treatment, but because she puts in the work every single day. Kate has made so much progress and will continue to make progress because of the advancements in treatment and research. These advancements have only been possible because of the generosity and support of people like you. People that support Cure SMA through donations make all the difference.
And so, I humbly ask, as I do every year, can you help me support Cure SMA through a donation if you have the means? Any amount helps. This organization has not only helped so many, but has directly helped my family and Kate. Kate is alive today because of treatment. New therapies are only possible through research. Research takes time and money. This is why your support is so important. Will you make a donation and help to make an impact? I am forever grateful for the love and support you all provide my family every day.
With Gratitude,
Rachael
