My Story…
My brother, Cabell, and I are active runners and this year we are both Septuagenarians. He has lived in Cape Cod since the 70’s . He ran the Falmouth Road Race in the Frank Shorter days. He hasn’t ran it since the 70’s and I’ve never ran it. Recently he was diagnosed with early stage Parkinson’s Disease. Exercise like running is known to slow the progression. So we will be able to run together while raising funds for the Parkinson’s Foundation ! In addition Cabell’s daughter, my niece Ashley Ready, has also committed to running with us and fundraising for Parkinson’s Champions. Please help us make this dream a reality!
Description
I'm ready to run.
I'm running to raise funds and awareness with the Parkinson's Champions. I'm challenging myself to run the marathon to support the Parkinson’s Foundation.
The Parkinson's Foundation makes life better for people living with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. Studies show that 2.5 hours of weekly exercise along with medication, can significantly improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson's. We run and will continue to run for people with Parkinson's because this disease not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Every dollar counts, thank you for your support!
