My Story…
The short version of why I run goes something like this...
I love to run and I love to give back!
My running journey is personal. I started running again when my youngest son started wearing a c-pap at 11 months old because he has retrognathia, severe obstructive sleep apnea and low muscle tone around his airways. I have run dozens and dozens of races for charity, my biggest one being the Boston Marathon w/my sons care team. I have also run many half marathons because I love to run. I love the challenge and I love what it means to take care of my health. I have wanted to run the Falmouth road race for a long time and I promised that I would try this year or next. By the grace of God, I was selected to be on this team. This team is also personal for me. My oldest son is a natural born boxer and at Sonny's boxing gym in Middleton, Ma 3-4 days a week and my father is a retired professional boxer out of the West End gym in Lowell, Ma. So, I knew I wanted to run for this cause. The least I can do to give back is run it out for the boxing community and give it my all for Parkison's disease because so many suffer from it especially, our beloved Boxers. This is very personal because deep down I am also a fighter, maybe not in the ring, but definitely in life and when I am running I am also fighting my own battles... I promise to get over that finish line with gratitude, my fists in the air and my head held high for -
"Punch 4 Parkison's" LFGOOOOOOO!!!!!!
