Help Christopher raise money

For participating in The 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

I'm Making My Miles More Meaningful

The 51st running of the Falmouth Road Race is scheduled for Sunday, August 20th, 2023. This will be the 14th year I run the Falmouth Road Race in memory of my Mom and Dad.

My story is not a unique one-  my Mom and Dad were diagnosed, treated, and successfully beat Cancer.  I run each year in memory of my parents in support of the American Cancer Society, and because there are many who have been diagnosed with Cancer that can’t be treated and cured.

This year will be different.  In June 2022, I was diagnosed with Guillain Barré Syndrome.  GBS is a condition where the immune system attacks the nervous system.  Fortunately, it was diagnosed early and I received care and treatment quickly.  As I continue to recover, I will be again completing the race via the “At Home” version of this year’s race to allow me to complete the 7.1 miles allowing for the run with Guillain Barré Syndrome.  I vow to finish my 14th running of The Falmouth Road Race with dignity, style and grace- just as my Mom and Dad handled and dealt with their Cancer diagnoses.

I am asking for your help in support of my run for the American Cancer Society.  I appreciate your consideration to donate to my run.  If it’s not an inconvenience, please consider speaking with your employer to see if they can match your donations.

Description

Why I Support the American Cancer Society

Cancer has affected so many people I know and love that it’s inspired me to join this American Cancer Society event. Taking part in this event gives me the chance to make a difference and honor those touched by cancer by raising funds for groundbreaking research and services for people dealing with cancer. I’m also participating to inspire hope for those facing the disease and raising money for the American Cancer Society's event to help save lives from cancer.  I hope you’ll consider signing up too.

Funds raised support cancer patient programs and groundbreaking research that can help save lives. This event also celebrates over 18 million cancer survivors nationwide. 18 MILLION. That’s huge. That’s why I’d love your support. Will you join me? And if you can’t would you be so kind as to make a donation?
