Help Julianne raise money

Two things rank high on my list of loves: dogs and running. Combining them is an opportunity I don't want to miss.

I recently lost my dog Yeller in February 2023, and my older dog, Dixie, died early on during the COVID pandemic in July 2020. For ten years, Yeller and Dixie were my entire world. Both were senior dogs, and I adopted them from Boston-area shelters. Yeller was a frequent work buddy of mine at the MSPCA-Angell and, in the months leading up to this death, a frequent patient at Angell.

Without shelters and adoption organizations like the MSPCA-Angell, these dogs would not have found new forever families – and they would not have been in my life. Like many pets in shelters, Yeller and Dixie were given up by their humans – the same families they thought would always be there for them until the end. But thanks to nonprofits like the MSPCA-Angell, pets who are abandoned and abused – including those surrendered by their owners – are given shelter, food, and medical attention when no one else can. 

However, in order to give every animal the life they deserve, animal shelters and adoption organizations like the MSPCA-Angell must raise a significant amount of money. To honor my sweet Yeller and Dixie, I’m running the Falmouth Road Race with my work colleagues to help raise these critical funds for all animals in need.

I have a personal goal of raising $1000 (our team's overall goal is $30K). I appreciate any amount you can donate to help support the MSPCA-Angell, one of the nation’s oldest voices for animals.
