My Story…
There are hundreds of mental illnesses - from anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, OCD, addiction, the list goes on- and the sad reality is many people suffer in silence. Thanks to organizations like the Mental Health Collaborative, there is finally awareness growing around the importance of mental health and the need to educate people and bring resources to those in need.
Running has become the outlet I use to get clarity, relief and resolution and ultimately is the way I protect and restore my mental health. That is what I am very excited and honored to run my first race at the Falmouth Road Race for the Mental Health Collaborative.
If you are able to, please consider donating to my fundraising efforts for the MHC. I also challenge you to check in with a friend, family member or even yourself. You never know how much it could matter.
