Thank you for supporting me for my second Falmouth Road Race! I am so excited to run again for the Ronald McDonald House which provides resources for families with critically ill children. While John was in the NICU at Boston Children’s, we met families from out of state who benefitted from the services and were able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House nearby for extended stays when their child was in the hospital. Relieving the families of this burden is priceless and we were able to directly see the benefits. This charity is near and dear to our hearts. Thank you for your support!!
Description
Each year hundreds of families travel to New England from locations all over the world to give their child access to the best medical care. In doing so, they face enormous hurdles such as navigating the complexities of the health care system, extraordinarily high local housing costs, and excessive emotional and physical stress. At the Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England we remove the stress of daily living and support families to enable them to focus on what really matters: their child’s health and healing.
On August 20, 2023 Team RMHCNE will hit the pavement to race the historic 7 mile course, while raising critical funds to support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence and the Ronald McDonald House at Boston Harbor.
This year Team RMHCNE will work together to provide nearly 400 nights of housing, comfort and support for families of critically ill children. Together, we can reduce the stress associated with financial strain so families can focus on the health of their children.
