Help Jen raise money

As we celebrated another World Down Syndrome Day, I knew it was a good opportunity to continue awareness for Down Syndrome and programs affiliated with it. I will be running the Falmouth Road Race to raise funds & awareness for the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC). 

This year I will be running for Otto Barnes to ensure individuals with Down Syndrome in Massachusetts are valued, included, and given the opportunities to pursue fulfilling lives by providing information, networking opportunities, and advocacy for people with Down Syndrome and their families, educators, health care professionals, and the community-at-large.

These funds generated will help Otto and others like him to utilize a wide-range of programs that serve and improve the lives of Down syndrome and their families. When Otto's mom, Leah, was pregnant, she found out Otto needed life saving open heart surgery when he was a newborn. MDSC offers support to expectant parents and new parents for education, networking, and advocating for the families with a child that is experiencing an extended hospital stay and/or ongoing complex medical care.

4 years later Otto is celebrating his "Heartaversary" thanks to education and support from programs funded by MDSC (see link).

These are challenging and uncertain times but the MDSC mission remains the same, now more than ever, MDSC is committed to families and individuals most in need. It's supporters like you that can change the lives of individuals and their families.
