My Story…
This August I will be participating in the Falmouth Road Race for an incredible cause, the Matt Brown Foundation! As most of you know, my cousin Matt suffered a spinal cord injury during a high school hockey game in 2010. Since his injury, he has remained steadfast in his own recovery and launched the Matt Brown Foundation in 2020 to help others living with paralysis. I chose to run the Falmouth Road Race this year to support Matt, who has never hesitated to support others in need.
It's hard to believe, but almost 18,000 new spinal cord injuries occur each year, leaving individuals unable to function as they did in the past. To make matters worse, it is estimated that the first year costs alone of a spinal cord injury are upwards of $1 million.
Our mission is to be there for those individuals in any way they need us to be, to help alleviate as many of the stresses that they are facing. Please consider donating to this amazing cause and helping me reach my fundraising goal. Thank you for your generosity and support!
