Hey there!
Hi All! My name is Alex Parenteau and I will be running in the 2023 Falmouth Road Race. I am very excited to announce I will running for the Massachusetts Special Olympics team.
Special Olympics holds a special place in my heart. Throughout high school, I was heavily invloved in Special Olympics and Unified Sports for Keene High School. During my junior year, I was selected to be the NH youth representative for Special Olympics and was able to attend the yearly conference that was held in Charlotte, NC. At the conference, I was able to gain valuable insight into all that the Special Olympic team does and go back to NH with a ton of knowledge to make our own programs better.
Also, I competed in Unified basketball for three years during high school. Unified sports is a blend of people with disabilities and without disabilities. I made ever lasting relationships and was fortunate enough to win the NH State Championship in basketball my senior year. My profile picture is with my good friend Tomi who I stay in contact with to this day.
A donation to my page is a donation to something so much bigger than myself. All proceeds will go directly to the Special Olympic organization and continue pushing an amazing program forward in what we are trying to accomplish.
