My Story…
Hello , my name is Waylon Page I am 11 years old from Higganum CT. This will be my second year running the Falmouth road race for New England Hemophilia.
Waylon suffers from a rare bleeding disorder. He was diagnosed with Qualitative Platelet Disfunction, which causes his blood to not clot and prevents wounds from healing. He also suffers from frequent nose bleeds. With this condition it has caused him to spend many nights in the hospital. His only treatment option is blood transfusions which introduce working platelets into his system to promote clotting and healing.
Due to his condition he is unable to participate in conventional sports, but is an avid runner. Waylon will be running in the Falmouth 7 mile road race on August 20 in Cape Code raising money for the New England Hemophilia Association's (NEHA). NEHA's mission is to provide education, support, and advocacy to the bleeding disorder community.
Donate to help Waylon raise money for The 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race’s fundraising campaign.
