My Story…
In August of 2013, I was struck in the back of the head by an errant baseball throw. I suffered an epidural hemorrhage, subdural hemorrhage and a skull fracture. Because of the extent of my injuries, I received emergency life-saving surgery by Dr. Smith at Boston Children's Hospital. Due to my injuries, I spent 2 weeks recovering at Boston Children's Hospital and another 3 weeks at Spaulding Rehab hospital. Although my traumatic brain injury has some long-term effects, I have been blessed to enjoy many of the same things i was able to enjoy before I got hurt. While I do not play baseball anymore, I currently play hockey at Curry College and will be a grad student next year.
Lastly, I will be joining my mom this year on team BIA and want to raise money for the people and families who have been affected by traumatic brain injury.
