Welcome to my 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!
I am very excited to run the 2023 Falmouth Road Race with the Gray Nation Endurance Team, supporting an organization close to my heart, the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS)! My life was forever changed when I received a devastating brain tumor diagnosis and was told I would have brain surgery to partially remove an astrocytoma. It has been a very challenging year for my family and me, physically, mentally, and emotionally. The surgery was no walk in the park (lasting almost 12 hours), and my recovery was long and hard. I faced months of physical therapy and treatments for debilitating headaches and nerve pain in my legs. I am fortunate that, for now, my tumor is stable. My treatment plan going forward will be serial imaging and to "watch and wait" for any changes.
One year post-op, I feel more and more like myself every day and would love to raise money for brain tumor research & advocacy. I am running in honor of my brain tumor journey and in memory of all those who have not been as fortunate. 100% of your donation to the NBTS will support treatment advances, innovation in the field of neurology, and expanded support for patients and caregivers of those affected by brain tumors. Thank you for helping me and considering donating to such a tremendously impactful organization!
I would also like to thank my family & friends for all of their love and support, my excellent doctors and care team at Boston Medical Center for giving me the best possible treatment, and anyone who has prayed for me or sent me well wishes throughout my diagnosis and recovery :)
Thank you!

My nurses at BMC requested the therapy dogs come to visit me :)
Finally coming home & testing out new hairstyles with the back of my head completely shaved.
My "therapy" dog Kali, that we got during my recovery!
