OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!
I ran the Falmouth Road Race for ALS ONE last year alongside my mom, Judi Carey. We both work at the Healey Center in ALS research and wanted to continue in the fight against ALS outside of work. This year, my boyfriend signed up to run for ALS ONE and his eagerness influenced me to sign up again!
I consider myself lucky to work with such an amazing population and community. The strength and resilience of my patients inspire me to keep going (and run this race again). I am running in memory of my mom's dear friend Monica Higgins and all the patients I have worked with who have since passed - in particular two lovely ladies I worked on a trial with when I first started at the Healey Center as a research coordinator in July 2021. I am also running in honor of all those fighting this disease and their loved ones, including those who may carry an ALS gene. I hope to continue spreading awareness and advocating so that one day we live in a world where there is no ALS.

Description
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 51st running of the Falmouth Road Race! This prestigious event takes place in-person on August 20, 2023 along the coastline streets of beautiful Falmouth, MA! At-home runners will complete 7 miles in any way of their choosing during the week of August 12-19, 2023.
Your support means the world to me and to all of us and will help to advance critical research at MGH, UMass Medical School, and ALS TDI, while providing essential equipment such as lifts, ramps, wheelchairs and assistive technology devices to individuals currently living with ALS via our care team at Compassionate Care ALS - all incredible partners that make up ALS ONE.
