Help Alison raise money

On August 20, 2023, I am running the Falmouth Road Race to raise funds for the Jack Trottier Foundation (JTF)! 

I have worked on the Spinal Cord Injury Unit at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, MA since October 2020. In that time, I have worked alongside and learned from so many incredible people including patients, families, and colleagues. I am running the FRR to honor my patients and colleagues on the SCI unit in Charlestown. 

Please consider contributing any amount to help me meet my goal of raising $1,500. All contributions will help relieve the financial burden for individuals and families impacted by Spinal Cord Injury. 

There are 18,000 new cases of spinal cord injury each year in the US alone. In 2013, Jack was in a snowboarding accident that resulted in a cervical spinal cord injury. The Jack Trottier Foundation was established in 2021 to provide financial assistance to those affected by traumatic spinal cord injury in New England. With community support, JTF approves vendor direct grants for assistive technology, durable medical equipment, home modifications, and items that can better the quality of life for someone living with SCI. 

Over the past year, JTF has approved 10 grant applications from Spaulding Rehab Hospital patients alone. In the case of each Spaulding grant applicant, JTF has played a big role in helping them return home safely and avoid further institutionalization. Examples of grant requests have included custom rolling commode/shower chairs, wheelchair ramps, and home modifications.
