My Story....
Hello, everyone! I'm a proud wife and mom running in this 10K race to raise funds for team FSHD (Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy). FSHD is a rare genetic muscle disease that affects the muscles in the face, shoulders, upper arms, and lower legs. These muscles weaken and shrink (atrophy) over time. My husband and our 16-year-old daughter, have been diagnosed with this condition. I'm running because I believe that with enough support and funding, we can find a cure and better therapies for this condition. I know this race won't be easy - it's been years since I've run a race, and the last one was just a 5K! But I'm willing to push myself because the cause is so important. I'm excited to lace up my shoes and take on this challenge. So I'm asking all of you to donate what you can to this important cause and see if your employer will match your donations. Every little bit helps, your generosity will mean the world to me and my family, and to all those who are fighting this disease. I truly believe that together, we can make a difference. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
