Help Rachel raise money

Since my Mother’s diagnosis of ADRD (Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia), I have felt adrift - trying to understand not only the disease itself but also how best to be a support to her as she bravely confronts this new reality. There is no roadmap out there, to the symptoms, the progression, or the care. In fact, one of the biggest surprises (and challenges) for me has been the lack of information on the many different types of dementia and how to interpret its manifestations.  I have watched my Mother, and my Father, as her primary caregiver, struggle to navigate the medical establishment in an attempt to get any kind of direction or assistance.  

That all changed when we found ALZ.org.  The information and tools they provide have been invaluable.  For the first time we feel we have resources and support in this long, difficult journey.  

This year I am proud to participate in the Falmouth Road Race as part of Team End  ALZ.  I am doing so in honor of my Mother’s bravery and to help raise funds for ALZ.org and the critical work they do both in supporting families facing this challenge, and in their research to try to end this horrible disease.
