My Story…
A year ago, I ran the Falmouth Road Race raising funds for Rotary, in honor of my father. I offer a heartfelt "thank you" to all of you who donated to our Club's work supporting an anti-trafficking education and housing program in Nepal. Interestingly, this year the Road Race falls on what would be my father's 81st birthday. And this year, I'm running for another cause my father passionately championed -- education!
The Waldorf School of Cape Cod "cultivates in the children a feeling of wonder, reverence for life and respect for self and others through [its] curriculum." Our family has been privileged to see first-hand the education alternative that Waldorf has brought to our daughter. In such trying times for our youth's development and resilience, Waldorf dives deep with children on a shared journey of a love of learning while nurturing community.
So, I'm honored to run the Falmouth Road Race again this year -- with the spirit of my father at my back and a hopeful vision of children's wellbeing and flourishing on my horizon. Any support you could provide to this mission would certainly spur me down that road on August 20th.
