My Story…
Welcome to my fundraising page! My name is Alex Garron and I am a sophomore in high school. I have been passionate about running since I was little. I am happy to once again be running the Falmouth Road Race and even more excited to be running to raise funds and awareness for the wonderful organization "Dogs for Better Lives." Their amazing work to provide support to those in need through training service dogs is truly admirable. My dogs mean the world to me and I have no doubt these service dogs provide so much love and companionship in addition to the skills that help each individual achieve more independence, safety and connection with the world around them. Please help me support this great organization. I promise to represent them well!
Description
Do you know someone whose life has been impacted by hearing loss, autism, anxiety, or grief?
Dogs for Better Lives professionally trains Hearing Assistance, Autism Assistance and Facility Dogs to help people facing these challenges. We recently opened our northeast campus in Falmouth and we’re very excited to have runners in the 50th Falmouth Road Race!
The average cost to train a service dog is $51,000 but we place our dogs at zero cost to our clients. Every dollar you raise for Dogs for Better Lives will go programmatic expenses.
