Help Mary raise money

Hello!

Welcome to my fundraising page for the Falmouth road race! This year I will be raising money and running for the May Institute. Why you ask?  The May recently employed me as a teacher assistant and my goodness, I LOVE my job. Below is a snapshot of what the May offers for individuals:

”The May Institute proudly serves individuals across the lifespan with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities , neurological disorders and behavior disorders to promote independence, choice, dignity and respect. We provide compassionate and caring educational, therapeutic, habilitative, and consulting services grounded in evidence-based practice.“

Some of you may know that my dad also worked in the special education field for over 30 years and his work did not go unnoticed. Funny enough my mother told me that he had a number of students who did end up going to the May! 

Every race I have ran he was always my biggest supporter but this year will be the first race I’m raising money for without him here, but man he would be SO SO PROUD. Not just from the running, but for me finally working in a place that I love, doing what I love, and helps with higher education with this specific population. My dad unfortunately isn’t here today because he passed in October of 2019.

So DAD, this one is specifically for you and for all the individuals you served and the ones I will continue to serve.
