This year, I'm running the Falmouth Road Race in support of Soccer Without Borders Boston. SWB uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing newcomer refugee, immigrant, and asylee youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion and personal success. Through longterm, consistent work in East Boston community, SWB cultivates a family like environment with low coach to player ratios and an emphasis on the team unit.
I’m excited to help support SWB continue to build an impactful community on the youth. As someone who’s life has been positively impacted by soccer, I am enthusiastic to be able to fundraise for SWB in order to spread access to a safe, supportive space where participants can reach their potential on and off the soccer field.
