Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2023 Falmouth Road Race to support CCALS, who provided invaluable support to my grandmother, Patricia Hurley. Whether it was helping her communicate, or navigating through her house, CCALS allowed her amazing spirit to live on with a disease that often takes away from these necessities of life. Her 6 year battle with ALS came to an end far too soon, but CCALS helped my grandmother with resources, support, equipment and a community that guided our family every step of the way. 

Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS) is a nonprofit organization with a mission to support people diagnosed with ALS, their families, healthcare providers, and communities as they navigate the complexities, both physical and emotional, associated with the disease. The organization provides resources including equipment, educational opportunities, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, communication assistance, guidance and awareness with regards to living with ALS, caregiving, and exploring end-of-life when invited. CCALS offers an innovative approach to delivering support and services.
