My Story…
The Needy Fund helps people to sort out their lives on the Cape, where there's more poverty and confusion than you might imagine unless you've lived there. It's run by good people doing fine work. I once worked at the sponsor Cape Cod Times (fond memories), and I'd like to help. If you can, help a geezer cover some miles and toss in a few bucks.
Description
The Cape Cod Times Needy Fund, Inc. has been helping local residents since 1936. Our mission is to provide urgent financial assistance for basic human needs such as housing, food, medical needs, transportation and heat, to individuals and families residing on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket who are experiencing temporary financial hardships. Most of the money raised comes from Cape Cod individuals, families, businesses, clubs, civic organizations, schools and faith communities - "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" is what the Needy Fund is all about.
