Help Jennifer raise money

We are a mother daughter team who are excited to be running the 2023 Falmouth Road Race in support of Team JDRF Greater New England! Here's a little bit about our team:

JENN:

I am a proud wife and mother of two who has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 20 years. Diagnosed at age 32, prior to having children, I was introduced to JDRF by my amazing medical team of doctors and diabetes educators who helped me transition to a life dependent upon insulin. In the years to come, I was able to take advantage of all of the medical advancements in the treatment of diabetes, made available thanks to the research and development and advocacy of organizations like the JDRF. 

While I currently live in NYC with my husband, daughter and son and our black lab, I was born and raised in New England (Connecticut) and have spent many summers in Cape Cod. I ran my first Falmouth Road Race in 2005, while carrying a bulky pack of needles, insulin and having to stop a few times to take glucose measurements. Now in 2023, I have and "artificial pancreas" system that will allow me to run the whole race hopefully worry free of diabetes! 

ADELE:

I am a high school sophomore who has loved running and being active my whole life. My mom, who has Type 1 Diabetes, is our family's rock. She handles and takes care of her diabetes like a champ and takes care of everyone around her at the same time. When my mom told me about the Falmouth Road Race, I was excited for the  challenge. I am so excited to be running for JDRF and helping others handle their diabetes like a boss.

OUR GOAL:

We are looking to raise a total of $20,000 to support JDRF New England. We would like to raise $10,000 from our supporters, and have committed to match that dollar for dollar up to $10,000 from our own pocket. But I hope we will not stop there, and will as generous supporters be able to raise even more!
