My Story…
I am incredibly honored and motivated to be running the Falmouth Road Race on behalf of the Progeria Research Foundation (PRF). This cause holds deep personal significance for me as it is directly tied to my family's journey. PRF was established by my family members with the purpose of finding a cure for children affected by Progeria. My cousin, Sam Berns, as their inspiration, is one of these incredible children.
Growing up, I have always been an avid runner, participating and even winning my age group at the annual PRF road race held in September. However, due to my college commitments, I am unable to continue that tradition. Nevertheless, my determination to support PRF and contribute to their life-changing work remains unwavering. I have witnessed firsthand the relentless efforts of my family and the dedicated individuals associated with the foundation, working tirelessly day and night to find a cure for Progeria.
By taking on this challenge, I aim to raise awareness and funds to support the Progeria Research Foundation's vital research initiatives. I firmly believe that every step I take in this race brings us one step closer to a cure for Progeria, offering hope and a brighter future for all the children affected by this condition.
