Help Molly raise money

Hello! 

Please help me raise $4,000 for Mass Eye and Ear, in honor of Deb Wayne!  Thank you!

I am running in honor of Dr. Deborah Wayne, known in the community as Doctora Deb. Entering optometry school when few women did, she eventually took over her father’s practice and is a well known doctor and friend to people of all ages in the communities of Chelsea and Malden where she grew up. She has been an active leader in MA Lions Club, worked on one non-profit board after the other over decades, and would literally give you her last dollar if you needed.

My Story

After several years of problems with my eyes that went undiagnosed, I was driving my elder mother on errands the week of … and my eyes went permanently double. I closed one eye, carefully got my mother home, and then drove to where I was staying. My eye doctor and great friend, a long time member of the Lions Club got me into Mass Eye and Ear within a few weeks to see Dr. Rizzo. He immediately figured out how to help me see by putting prisms in front of my eyes to refract the light and see the correct image. These prisms are now embedded in my glasses. And – he then did something else!  Knowing that my eye problem was often caused by an aneurism, he sent me for an MRI and then a CT scan. The image showed something of concern, so he then sent me to Dr. Rabinov who did an angiogram and eventually treated my aneurism that had several abnormalities. My double vision, eye doctors, and Dr. Rabinov saved my life! I am beyond grateful and continue to serve as the Founder & CEO of Roca serving remarkable young mothers and young men with a great team.
