Help Courtney raise money

For participating in The 2023 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

I am honored to be running with MDSC at the 2023 Falmouth Road Race. I will be running in admiration of my 6yr-old daughter, Isla Marie, who has been blessed with Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome). She is the strongest, most determined, little sweet & sour pack of dynamite around. Isla is a gift from God who has changed my life, and all of those she encounters, for the better. Her fierce determination is unbound; I love watching her achieve her small goals:  (recently) jumping off the play structures, working hard to climb to the top slide and being so proud of herself when she thinks no one is watching. Like all stubborn and strong-willed little people, she has her moments, but we wouldn't change any of her honest, blunt personality if we could.  We are so blessed with our large supportive family and friends around us; and to have a group like MDSC to help navigate the maze of "special needs" is extraordinary. Thank you for having me be included in such a powerful mission: to ensure individuals with Down syndrome are valued, included, and given every opportunity to pursue fulfilling lives. And also to share our story and change the stigma of having Down syndrome; we truly are the lucky ones.
