My Story…
I first became involved with Back on My Feet in 2012. I was inspired by their program and the success stories that the program has created. Working with those who are experiencing homelessness and helping them to get on a new path through the discipline of running. This program is a hand up not a hand out but it helps those in need regain confidence, self esteem and wellness. I was so inspired by the Back on my Feet program that I started running and founded a charity golf outing that raised over $100k in 3 years. Flash forward to today I have completed 3 half marathons and am very exited to participate in my first Falmouth Road Race. Growing up in the town next door, I volunteered at this race in my youth. I would have never thought it would be a participant 30 years later. I am joining the team as a last minute entry but hoping to raise $1,500 for this outstanding cause.
