While working with Learning Buddies over the past year, I have witnessed the incredible impact one-to-one mentoring can provide for a child who would not otherwise have access to support. The improvements in both academic skills and confidence levels are something these children will take with them long term. The mentors gain valuable skills such as organization, communication, leadership and collaboration. Learning Buddies Network is amazingly supportive at all levels and offers opportunities for advancement, offering increased responsibilities and leadership. As a non-profit, charitable organization, we rely on fundraising events such as these to provide the funds to carry out our goals of supporting as many students who would benefit from our services as possible.
