Help Karen raise money

Hello!

This will be my second year "racing" with my work/church team, The Banana Splits, to help raise money for Neighborhood Food Pantries. This year I have a new knee (replaced in November 2022), making me fully "bionic" knee-wise (1st replacement in 2015) so look out world, here I come!

But seriously, I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't fully believe in the cause.  I have had the opportunity to witness first-hand the number of people who utilize the food pantry every day we are open at LCM. I also am volunteering on the event committee where I have learned even more about the need in our community. 

I know that I personally experienced "sticker shock" at the prices in the grocery store this past year, so I can't imagine what people who are not as fortunate as me must feel when it comes to having a limited budget and having to decide between food, shelter, utilities, etc.  And let's not even talk about recent gas prices!  I also can't imagine what it would be like to be a stranger in a new country, having been forced to flee my homeland because of events outside of my control, and having no job, no family, etc.  It's heartbreaking to see it on the news, but even more so to see it in person.

So please help me reach my goal of raising money for NFP who, in turn, helps our less fortunate neighbors feel a little more secure in their lives when it comes to having nutritious food on the table.
