My Story…
Rogelio and I are running the Boston Firefighters Memorial Road Race to raise funds for the BFD Relief Fund on October 8th.
The Boston Firefighters Local 718 10K Memorial Road Race was established to memorialize the brave members of the Boston Fire Department and Local 718 who courageously gave their lives while fulfilling their duty to the citizens of Boston.
Race day is a celebration of their lives while raising money for the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund. Over the past decade, heart disease and cancer have accounted for most on-duty firefighter deaths. Since 2019, the Relief Fund has made it our mission to “Put Out Cancer in the Boston Fire Department”. All proceeds from the race will benefit our Cardiovascular and Cancer Screening Initiative.
