Help Brian raise money

I have worked for Lutherwood for 14 yrs now.  I have worked in a few positions but always have worked with youth and families.  I have always been so impressed by the staff that work here and the heart and passion that they bring to their work everyday.  Lutherwood is truly an organization that cares about kids and offers a really great approach to helping kids and families to maintain their mental well being.  

While there has always been a need for youth and families in this area, I have really seen the impact that COVID has had on all of us.  It seems that many more are struggling and the complicating factors of poverty, housing insecurity, and food prices, have created a really difficult landscape for many to manage.  We are a free service for families and we are able to come alongside them and help them manage the situation that they are in.  

If you're able, would you consider donating to Lutherwood this year to help us raise money for the Children and Youth Foundation.  The past few months I have been supervising a program that is receiving funds from the foundation to keep kids out of hospital and receiving help in their homes instead.  I have experienced the impact of these donations first hand.  We have been able to work with the hospital to take those who are needing more help to be able to manage, but not needing to be admitted to hospital.  Many of these youth are having thoughts of suicide and we are able to work with them to keep them safe and to develop skills to be able to use when they are feeling this way.  This is just one way among many that Steps for Kids help to support families in our area.
