Forest Lea Enduro |
The Forest Lea Trails are becoming widely recognized as the best technical singletrack system in Eastern Ontario, with a total of 32k of marked trail. The FL Enduro is a trail focused event to celebrate the Forest Lea Trails and raise funds for maintenance and development.
Participants must be self-sufficient for water and food. There is only emergency help on trail from marshals. One water station will be at the halfway point of the 27km loop, there will be no water on the 10k loop. All race routes will be marked with coloured arrows the day before the event.
Mtn biking can be dangerous—all riders must wear a helmet, have an appropriate bike, and take responsibility for their own safety! Enduro participants will be required to sign a waiver form when they register online.

This distance takes rider through most of the single-track trails in the Forest Lea Trail Network.

Additional Information
Prizes/awards will be established for different place winners, and a draw will be done as well for all participants. FLE number plates for riders will be handed out during registration. Maps of routes will be printed for riders to view highlighting routes. Maps are yet to be printed and marked routes will vary depending on length of race chosen.
Registration Details
Online only. Cash payment for day of event entry. Day of event entry does not gaurentee appropriate size shirts or other swag provided. This is a volunteer run event and all proceeds support the Forest Lea Trails. Participants must sign a waiver when they register online and day of. Please arrive at the event early to sign in and receive your number plate.
Race Information
Mountain bike 3km,10km, or 27km (one big loop). 99% singletrack trails with lots of rocks and roots. All routes start with a double track section to spread out the group, and then spend the rest of the time in the tight singletrack trails.
3km: Start loop (tentative - out road, back on ski trail and Jolly Roger)
Timing will be later in the morning, but is yet to be confirmed. Details pending.
10km: Start loop plus Oliver's/Q and ART to Jolly Roger
10km ride is suitable for beginners and those new to trail riding
27km: Almost the whole dang thing! Start loop, Oliver's/Q, then heading into the middle section of trails before sending the back trails looping back through the network to finish on Jolly Roger.
27k average bikers expect to take 2.5 hrs (a winning time will be 1:45 hrs - see the results tab above).
After Race
Fully Catered race lunch from Schmidt Catering included with entry fee. Non racers can purchase lunch for $10. Award times will be posted the day of the event, but will take place when the majority of riders are in. You must be present to win one of our ridiculous number of draw prizes.
Start Time
27k bike: 9:00 (sign in 8:30-9:00)
10 k bike: 10:00 (sign in 9:30-10)
3 k kids bike: 10:30 (sign in 9-10:00) No pre-reg required. $5 entry day of the event at the sign in table. Entry includes a finish line treat and lunch ticket. This is not a race but a kid oriented ride. *a parent is encouraged to accompany children - this is a real mountain biking loop, so not appropriate for small kids w/o parent accompaniment - hills up and down, narrow and rocky sections of trail. Parents do not need to register but do need to wear a helmet.
The Location
1864 Forest Lea Rd, Pembroke, ON K8A 6W6
Forest Lea Trails are located at the end of Forest Lea Rd., West of Pembroke (between Pembroke and Petawawa), exit S. off Hwy. 17 on Forest Lea Rd, travel 5 km to end of pavement. Drive time is 1.5 hr from Kanata or Mattawa.
There is no running water so bring plenty of your own. There are two outhouses on site. Spectators welcome - dogs must be on a leash.
