For 40 years, Help Hope Live has been placing medical care within reach of thousands of families by mobilizing communities to fundraise.
Health care is expensive, especially when managing a serious illness or injury. In addition to the high cost of insurance, there are major out-of-pocket medical and non-medical costs that patients and their families are responsible for, including expenses for caregivers, durable medical equipment, medications, physical therapy, and travel and temporary relocation for specialized treatment—just to name a few.
Since 1983, we have helped raise more than $172 million to cover expenses not met my insurance.
We fundraise so teens like Ella gain independence, confidence, and mobility.
Raised $40,000 for a Key Mobility Device
18-year-old Ella is living with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Thanks to her new Trexo mobility device, Ella will get the chance to walk across the stage at her high school graduation.
We fundraise for a lifetime of help and hope.
Giving the Gift of Hope to Other Transplant Families
"Truly a great fundraising experience for help with my medical bills and so much more when I received my kidney transplant."
Joanna McCray credits fundraising with bringing the gift of life within reach in 2018. Unable to work following a diagnosis of end-stage kidney disease, Joanna relied on fundraising to assist with costs ranging from medical travel to caregiving to a lifetime of post-transplant medications. Today, she is a proud Help Hope Live Brand Ambassador.
We fundraise so finances don’t stand in the way of the gift of life.
Raised $23,000 in 3 Weeks
Zachary, 26, has been living with kidney disease for 14 years and has spent 4 years on dialysis. His post-transplant medications will exceed $15,000 per year out-of-pocket. Thanks to fundraising, these expenses won’t stop Zach’s second chance at life.
