Hello Friends! 

Most people who know me (Nicole) well know that I have dealt with chronic migraines since I was about 11 years old.   This summer has been especially brutal for me with the humidity and all the atmospheric weather changes. When I was in college I went through extensive testing and was the subject of a yearlong study while they tried to figure out what my triggers were.  Unfortunately, after 52 weeks of observation, the doctors all came out empty handed with no real answers to what was triggering them or why I was getting them so frequently.  So I’m hoping that by bringing more awareness to this crippling disease that it will help fund further research so those of us who suffer can eventually find some relief.  

Migraine is a disease that is still not very well understood by most physicians even though millions of people suffer with them daily. Many people think migraines are “just a bad headache,” but please be reassured they are completely different and far worse than the common headache.  The pain can be absolutely debilitating and when you add in the auras, blindness, dizziness, nausea & vomiting, sensitivity to light, sound, and movement, and an array of other symptoms, it can literally put a halt to living your daily life.
