Our story…

As many of you know, I suffered a heart attack with cardiac arrest six months ago. With amazing medical care, the love and support of family and friends, and a little bit of luck, I am happy that I am mostly back to "normal" - enjoying my life, family, friends, work, and CJ (my cat).

What happened to me is called Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD).  This is a rare, and relatively unknown condition that mostly affects women between the ages of 40 - 60, with no previous heart disease or issues.

This is a scary and life-threatening condition, and more research needs to be done to determine causes, treatments, and most importantly, prevention if possible.
