My Story…
Hi Good People! I had my choice of various PWIs & HBCUs when contemplating my college path. However, God's choice was THE Fort Valley State University. I would not trade my time at FVSU for anything in the world. The memories created; the friendships produced; the maturity developed & the degree earned are priceless. "Da Valley" will forever be near & dear to my heart. Wildcat for Life! I participate in the Atlanta HBCU Alliance 5K Run/Walk because of my love for FVSU & for mom, the first college graduate in our family. My mom did not know the challenges she would face attending Morris Brown College, but she had the courage to try. For those of you who have never participated in a 5K & are slightly scared, I leave you with this quote: “The miracle isn’t that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.” ~John Bingham
