Raise money for Children's Museum of Sonoma County

Founded in 2005, the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County engages children in joyful discovery experiences that develop foundational skills, create lasting memories, and spark a lifelong love of learning. A leading provider of cultural and educational experiences for families, the Museum offers open-ended, experiential exhibits emphasize hands-on engagement and learning through play with a focus on art, nature, and science.

Welcoming over 170,000 visitors a year to its Santa Rosa campus next to the Charles Schultz Museum, the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is a valuable cultural resource and destination and proudly supports the work of parents, caregivers, and educators in raising happy, healthy, and strong children.

The focus of fundraising efforts at this year’s Human Race is to support arts programming at the Museum’s Ella’s Art Studio and Creation Station. Collaborative art projects offered include materials such as paint, wire, felt, fabric, yarn, and clay. For the more advanced artist/maverick child, our Art Studio Specialist is onsite to help facilitate the use of more complex tools and complex engineered art projects.

Studies have shown that children participating in art-based play experience positive changes in their mental health and wellbeing, such as improved self-expression, safety, empowerment, hope and optimism for the future. Regardless of experience, the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County allows our community’s youngest to flex their creativity and come into their own.
