Heartfelt Help Foundation

Heartfelt Help Foundation was founded in 2020 after learning about the financial inequities associated with transplant following our founder's heart transplant in 2018.  The expenses that insurance doesn't cover can be financially devastating to the patient and their family.  The largest of these costs is post-transplant housing which is medically required yet not covered by insurance. The lack of sufficient funds to pay for this expense can delay a transplant.  And delays can be fatal.  Heartfelt Help Foundation steps in to help patients and their families both source and pay for this housing.  Clean, safe housing that is best suited for the immunocompromised patient and their family.  Since our founding, we have provided post-transplant housing to nearly 30 patients and their families.  We believe that this housing should be tailored to the uniqueness that is every patient.  So much of the medical system is "one size fits all" and housing shouldn't be like that.  Every patient is unique and the place that they begin their recovery should be uniquely suited to them.  Every patient should begin their recovery in a place that feels like home with the people who feel like home.
