My Story…
It is that time of year again! Our event is Sunday, October the 1st. I am so excited to announce that Philadelphia has outgrown our location and we are moving our event to the Navy Yard this year! As you all know, my story of migraine is a journey for sure. My migraine is not hereditary. It comes from the trauma after I beat my rare cancer of my right eye orbit and sinuses. The radiation that was use to kill any remaining cancer cells also left me with chronic daily migraine. I now live every day of my life with an average migraine of a 5. I have bad days where I have a migraine of a 9 or 10, and no matter what I do, I need to stay in bed with the blind down and sleep. My good days, my migraine can go down to maybe a 4. People ask me; "How do you function with a migraine at a level 5 every day?" My answer; "I have no choice!" Most days I have to push through, or I would have NO good days. I try my best NOT to complain or bring up migraine. Some days, I cannot help it. The money I raise at this Philadelphia Event will go directly to Jefferson Headache Center and will help to train new Fellows who are learning to treat migraine patients. We need more doctors in this field! I thank you for your donation. Every single dollar counts, it does not matter to me if it is $1, $10 or $100, I appreciate your help and more importantly your support in my cause. I cannot do this without my amazing doctors at Jefferson or my amazing family and friends!
