My Story…
I was first officially diagnosed with migraines at the age of 12. There was no medication at that time to treat for migraines, by that I mean a drug specifically developed for the prevention of migraines. Only within the last 4-5 years has the FDA approved medication for the prevention of migraines. While I haven't had success with the new class of meds, so many other migraines sufferers have and they are able to gets parts of their life back that migraine disease has stolen. This is the reason I participate in fundraising for Miles for Migraine. This is the 11th year Philadelphia is hosting. I've watched it grow exponentially over those 11 years. This year's walk will be at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and I've set my highest fundraising goal to date! Thank you for taking the time to read my story and any donation is appreciated!
