My Story…
Our Story: On Jan 17, 2022, We went into our 39 week routine exam. Our OB at the time was talking to us about setting an induction date for later in the week, but she said we can get to that after we do all our routine examinations. As I laid back on the bed and lifted my shirt I knew something was wrong. My baby belly was a different shape and it just looked odd and I told her I don't remember feeling the baby move all day. The OB was using the doppler with lots of pressure and usually she was able to find our baby's heartbeat fairly quickly. She said, "I'm having trouble finding a heartbeat, lets go get and ultrasound" We switched rooms in a panic. Silas told me to eat some chocolate, give that a baby some sugar. We got into the room and she did an ultrasound and had another doctor come in. They both confirmed " I'm so sorry, your baby does not have a heartbeat" words that no parent wants to hear. I was sent home and was told to call the hospital in the morning to see if they had room for me to do an induction. I called at 6am like I was told and was said they would call me back once they have a bed for me. I got a call about an hour later and after I vomited from crying so much we headed up to the hospital. 3rd floor to the Labor & Delivery floor and walked down the hall, turned the corner and saw a familiar face. My nurse was going to be a friend, Jen. My angel was already looking after me and making sure I had the best care possible. With Covid-19 policies still being in place in the hospital we were told no other visitors, but my angel said I needed my Mom. My mom and Silas were able to be there that day with me as I gave birth to an angel. ITS A GIRL! Reagan Sophia Garcia born sleeping January 18, 2022 at 4:04pm.
