Millions of people face silent health struggles daily due to lack of funding for its causes to hardships of being misunderstood about invisible conditions. 

My name is Latoya Shauntay Snell and I suffer from ten chronic conditions - one of which is an ongoing battle with fibroids. Despite being a traveling road and trail marathoner and ultrarunner, I oftentimes struggle with the uncertainties that come with living chronic illness. I am on a mission to shed light on this condition and invite you to join me on raising awareness about fibroids. Together we can improve the lives of countless women across the globe. 

Reproductive health issues, especially those afflicting women, non binary and marginalized people are oftentimes underfunded. This is where I can use your help. Please donate and/or amplify this fundraise to as many people as possible. The Fibroid Pandemic is a small Not for Profit based in Georgia and led by Latoya Wright. She seeks to educate and empower the masses about this condition. Through sharing our stories about resilience, courage and determination, we hope to provide resources those afflicted and stimulate conversations about fibroids to as many people as possible.

In addition to this fundraiser, there are two events that are taking place:

The Run F.A.R. 5K in Powder Springs, GA which is open to the public virtually and in person (Instagram: runfar5k) and;

The Fibroid Brunch held on Friday, July 14, 2023 (Instagram for company: The Fibroid Pandemic)

I will be at both events and hope to see you there. 

Here's some facts about fibroids:

- Over 26 million women in the United States alone are affected by fibroids.

- African American women are three times more likely to develop fibroids and often experience more severe symptoms.

- Fibroids can lead to heavy menstrual bleeding, chronic pain, infertility, and a host of other complications.
