Tory was an old soul, he loved classic rock & old country, his Chevy pickup, a good bonfire, time for fishing, his puppy Maui and his many family & friends.   A smile and laugh that could light up any dim room, a voice that loved karaoke and dance moves that, well.....I'm not even sure how to describe them! He was a big brother that was protective and proud.  A grandson that loved being in their company & made them proud. Tory loved to be around people & people loved to be around him! There were no strangers when Tory was around. 
Our son & brother was in NC. He had his own apartment, bought his dream truck, fell in love with & adopted a new puppy, had a good job with lots of promise that he was so proud of. 
And then it happened.....
We woke up on the sunny Saturday morning of May 2nd, 2020 to the loud banging on our door letting us know that our son was gone. Our world crumbled. The unbelievable had happened. They told us our son committed suicide. For us, this was unbelievable. For his family, friends, coworkers, fellow Marines, neighbors, this was unbelievable. None of us had any idea, any clue about his suffering. He was that guy, that guy that would make sure everyone else was ok, that guy that always protected others, that guy that didn't like to see anyone upset.  How could this happen?
Well, it did & here we are. Our only comfort is to hold on to the many wonderful memories we have of and with Tory and to do all that we can to save any other family from ever having to go through this pain.
We'll continue to share "Tory's Story" in hopes that it helps even just one person. We'll walk, we'll volunteer, we'll talk to anyone who needs it.
