My Story…
Our Daughter Clara was born with a rare genetic disorder called Charge Syndrom, which is the most medically complicated multi-sensory disability that you can have. One of the senses that is affected is Clara's hearing. She is profoundly Deaf and wears a cochlear implant.
It absolutely amazes us to see the skills and Deaf Gains that Clara has made as a deaf individual. With the support and services from Connect Society, our daughter is thriving in both English and ASL. Help support Connect Society and this Fun run to celebrate deaf gains and this wonderful organization in our community!
