The YMCA of Northern Alberta is a registered charity that is recognized for its vital role in strengthening the foundations of community and its dedication to the development of all individuals in spirit, mind and body.
We believe the path to a bright future begins with building happy, productive lives. Serving the Edmonton, Red Deer, Wood Buffalo and Grande Prairie regions, the YMCA fosters belonging and connection in every community we serve, with results we’re proud to share:
- Each year, the YMCA serves over 100,000 individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Over half are young people under the age of 18.
- More than 1500 families access our community support programs.
- 2300 children from birth to 12 years of age receive quality care and early learning in YMCA Child Care.
- Just under 1000 young people access our employment programs across Alberta.
YMCA of Northern Alberta has served Fort McMurray, Gregoire Estates, Sapree Creek, Anzac, Janvier, Conklin, Fort McKay and more since 1974.
